I don’t know about you but when I think about the word “artificial” its meaning sends red flags my way.  Some definitions given to the word “artificial” are:  unnatural, man-made, reproduced, false, imitation, and fake.  The question I have to ask myself is, “If this is not natural or real, what harm or danger could it bring me? Am I able to live with the consequences?  What could be the final outcome if I taste-tested?”  As humans, we can easily be allured by our senses and go after those things that appear sweet, only to discover they don’t satisfy like we thought, leaving a bitter taste in our mouths and perhaps a spirit of fear, anger, and resentfulness in our hearts.  Those “things” like money, sex, power, prestige, alcohol, drugs, etc. are what the world uses to saturate our thoughts with.  “Try this!  Do that!  Buy this! It will make you happy,” are all lies to make us believe that the void we feel in our lives can be filled by things that are only temporary.   And that’s what they are:  TEMPORARY!  Who wants something that’s only going to give satisfaction for only a short period of time?  Because, as you already know, when that time is up, we’re going to go looking in all the wrong places to find more.  More peace.  More happiness.  More self-esteem.  More love.

The good news is that Jesus offers us the REAL DEAL!  Psalm 34:8 exhorts us: “O taste and see that the LORD (our God) is good; how blessed (fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God) is the man who takes refuge in Him.”  Jesus beckons us to give Him a try. He is sovereign, creator God.  He exists and we exist because of Him. All we have to do is ask Him to reveal himself to us and He will!  He will not keep anything from us.  He wants to give us everything He is—love, joy, everlasting peace, kindness, goodness, and the list goes on.

Considering this, His desire for each and every one of us is a new, transformed life that is satisfied and complete only in and through His life.  Jesus gave His life on behalf of ours.  He took our place so that we no longer have to be separated from God.  Sin (our bad thoughts and behavior), separates us from God.  Only Jesus, who is the PERFECT, REAL DEAL, could die the ultimate death, taking all of our sins upon Himself by shedding His blood on the cross.  Yes, He died, but the GOOD NEWS is that He rose on the third day conquering sin, death, and darkness.

He did this for both you and me.

No longer do you need to live defeated, “down”, or in despair.  Jesus came to give LIFE—NEW LIFE!  All you need to do is ask Him to forgive you of all your wrongdoings, and invite Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior.  Guess what?  He will!  Ask Him to help you become the person He wants you to be and you will begin to change from the inside out.

Accept Him.  Believe Him. Confess Him as your Savior.  Trust Him.  You’ll NEVER be the same!  And besides that, you will NEVER be separated from Him.  You will spend eternity forever with Him in heaven!  You can be assured that!

There is nothing artificial about Him.

What you see is what you’ll get!

Choose Him for yourself!

You’ll be FOREVER GRATEFUL you did!
